The ACE Racing Division Imola 200 Heritage Tee celebrates the legendary Italian 750 Imola Desmo and its historic performance at the 1972 Imola 200 Miles. The vintage-inspired front artwork features the iconic silver Italian racer, competition number 16 and the distinctive red, black and metallic tones associated with one of motorcycle racing’s most celebrated moments.
A number 16 racing badge finishes the left sleeve, while a subtle ACE emblem below the back collar gives the shirt a clean, premium look from every angle.
Why the 1972 Italian 750 is historic
On 23 April 1972, Paul Smart won the Imola 200 Miles with teammate Bruno Spaggiari finishing second to secure a remarkable one-two result. The Italian manufacturer describes the victory as a defining moment that attracted worldwide attention and demonstrated the potential of its large-capacity desmodromic V-twin technology.
Designed under engineer Fabio Taglioni, the 750 Imola Desmo produced approximately 82 hp at 9,000 rpm, weighed around 163 kg dry, and was capable of about 250 km/h. Its race-winning technology and unmistakable silver-and-red appearance helped establish the performance identity that continues to influence Ducati motorcycles today.
